You’re only repeating what I’ve been telling people since 10 came out in Beta! It’s a piece of junk and should be taken off the web in my opinion.

Before you download the Y!M 8:
Use the Add/Remove Programs to Un-install the Y!M you presently have.
Now…….
Do an Offline Search, in Drive C, type in Yahoo Messenger. Delete the Yahoo Messenger
Folders. REboot your computer for a Clean Install of Y!M 8….

i have a lot of inconvenient with Y! messenger 9 & 10?
I had messenger 8…and was PERFECT!!! Now you force someway to use 9/10 version…..the 8 ver. logging in 3 minutes after click sign in

Y! mess.9/10 inconvenients :

1. 1st of all: Let me use auto shut down PC without beeing at my desk!!!! i have a program to setup the auto-shutdown my computer (for ex. after 1h. system idle). The Y! msg is the only program that must be forced (end task appears and i must hit end task, For that, i must be at my desk! ) to shut down safely my PC. and i use a lot of active programs (video capture, msn, tv tunner…etc) that are closing without any boring confirmation. A biiiiig inconvenient! Even if i hit "shut down" key (from my keyboard) the messenger still have this bug! You think Y!mess. is vital for windows (like svchost.exe, exporer.exe, system idle process ) or what?? .

2. When i’m changing my avatar, my status message freezing! …if i sign out and come back….i am unable to go online for a while! Another bug!

3. i buy a program (a skinner) that change my windows graphic interface (xp become vista, linux, macos…etc). Y! mess. is the only program that makes me problem because its have the own skins and enter in conflicts! (even if i setup the skinner program to except Y! mess.)!

I want yahoo messenger 8 !!!!!!!!! don’t force me to use something that i don’t want !!! or repair those bugs!
