You might want to wait until you get to the post or installation you will end up at. I have been taking online courses for years from numerous bases.

Lots of people go with University of Phoeneix (that's where my wife takes her classes). Online classes are more expensive that in the classroom courses. There are day and evening classes at most Universities or colleges.

I'm not sure about the stars guide. As long as these colleges have a SOCAD agreement, there is no problem. The main thing is to pick a degree program and stick with it. If you keep changing degrees then lots of classes will not count. The problem is often something like one college requires 2 accounting classes to get a certain degree. Another college may only require one accounting class.

I work at University, retired military, and I take online classes, so ...I have a little bit of experience and knowledge of what you are asking.

Good luck!
