I am almost finished with my Bachelors degree in History. I would like to continue on and get my masters in History. I am interested in American Public University’s (APU) History program. But can I get a legitimate masters degree from a fully online institution, that when Im finished I would be able to get a job teaching at a community college? APU is fully accredited but Im leary because the only information about them I can find is on their website. It seems like nobody has heard of them. Any help would be appreciated!

I am definitely not feeling the whole public school thing anymore and i am concidering switching to Online Schooling. Can i switch even though it is the beginning of the second semester??

i would just finish the rest of the semester because If you homeschool at second semester you will have to re-do the first semester and posibly fail.

I am currently a Sophomore in high school and my high school only has a limited selection of classes. I was hoping i could take some classes online so that my Transcript is better. Well I am involved with this program in my state and they are great. They have them in a few different states. (I provided the link to your state) They are free and provide laptops and printers as well. Im not sure if you would just be able to pick up a few extra classes or if you have to go full time, but give em a call and find out! It is called Insight, and it is a online school.

What cannot be disputed is that online degree programs are gaining popularity with students. However, with this drastic change in the education system come many concerns. The most obvious one is how online degree programs compare with those offered at physical locations. Finally, this is your choice and your decision, and having weighed up all the options only you can decide.

If so, have you found any jobs and salaries that are compatible with your major and/or degree level? Are the results what you thought they would be, or has it been a rude awakening?

I am asking because I am thinking of pursuing an online masters degree so that I can be an online adjunct professor. I’m unable to go to a brick and mortar institution due to family obligations.
